The Scary Clown Story


So we're at rehearsal one day, just generally messing around, and we're talking about how easy it would be to write one of those heavy, scary type songs.  So as a joke we start rocking out on this heavy duty, chunka-chunka riff.  We're just cracking up over the whole thing.

So I'm wanting to chime in singing but I can't really think of anything, when suddenly two words just pop right out of my mouth.  Yeah, you guessed it - Scary Clown.  So we laughed a little longer and then we put up our equipment and went home.

So some time later it occurs to me to work on the song, get some lyrics and add some different parts.  I come to band practice one day and I'm like , "Hey let's work on the Scary Clown song."

Mark and Dan are like, "Are you serious?"  After I finally convinced them, we finished the song and planned to play at one of our upcoming shows. 

And here's the kicker.....

Everyone loved it!  People wanted to hear it all the time.  In fact we can't even play a gig now without playing Scary Clown.  Nevermind our serious songs, our harmonies - forget it!  People want to hear some dumbass song about a killer clown.  We'll we aim to please so come to one of our gigs and we'll belt it out for you.

Scary Clown is now a part of Kickstand.  So if you don't want to get killed you better be good and come see us play once in awhile.
